‘Great Pan is…’. Understand is about a God, ‘Great Pan’, Greek God of Nature, free. Idea reinforced by ‘The gods…’ suggests that India free but Colon… of India changed it, but old History/Culture was free, main idea, that colon.. prevent countries from freedom, forgetting culture

Second Stanza Colon occurred

A

Colon.. occurred, breed of people new dialect, forgotten old ‘strange language’ past. Loss of language angry, direct address, elders of ‘the unborn…’ to prove to retain language/culture of past, rewrite history. Contradiction poem in English criticise culture becoming English, people forget heritage/culture, the poet would write, dialect of past.
