➢ There are few rivers and streams that flow through the desert, such as the River Luni
➢ These rivers and streams are intermittent - only flow after rainfall
What is the main source of irrigation in the desert?
➢ Indira Gandhi Canal - This source of freshwater has allowed commercial farming to happen
➢ The canal provides drinking water to many people in the desert
Why is there lots of inaccessibility in the desert?
Due to roads being easily melted away by the high temperatures
