7 - Engines Flashcards
Engine Start Selector - Auto
- start valve closes and ignition terminates when selector moves from GND to AUTO at 50% N2
- selected igniter(s) operate continuously when slats are extended or EAI on
Engine Start VALVE light on -
valve is not in proper position
does not open with Start Selector in GND, does not close at 50% N2
Engine Start Selector - FLT
both igniters operate continuously
regardless of Ignition Selector position
How do you identify a hung start?
N2 does not increase for 5 sec
What do fuel control switches control?
fuel valves (engine/spar) and ignition
What do ENG VALVE and SPAR VALVE. lights indicate?
valve not in position required by Fuel Control or Engine Fire switches
When does Stby Eng Indicator activate in AUTO? (3)
AC power lost
both EICAS fail
CRT has failed on the ground and STATUS selected
Starter Limits
