What is the definition of a bolt?
When it is tightened with a nut
What is the definition of a screw?
When it is tightened into a threaded hole by its head

What is a stud?
A rod with thread portions on the end with a plain portion inn the middle

When a thin plain nut is tightened onto the main nut
What is a nylon stiffnut?
When a nut has a nylon inside to allow the fastener to make its own thread
What are oddie stiffnuts?
A nut that has tongues to allow it to keep hold of the fastener
What are aerotight and philidas stiffnuts?
A nut that has designed gaps into it to provide a friction lock
At what temperature should all-metal locknuts be used?
120°C (250°F)
