What is loss of intellectual property
The loss of things such as, creations of the mind, inventions, literary and artistic work, symbols, names and images used in commerce
What is industrial property
Included patents for inventions, trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications
What is copyright
Includes literary and artistic works, for example novels, poems, plays, films, music, drawings, paintings
What is loss of service and access
Denial of service (DoS) attack resulting in a system or network resource becoming unavailable to the intended users. Or a botnet attack resulting in the network being taken down
What is failure in security of confidential information
Confidential or sensitive information could be accessed by unauthorised people
What is loss of information belonging to a third party
Cloud storage providers store data and information for third parties. If they have a breach in security the data and information held for third parties could be lost.
What is loss of reputation
Public opinion of business will be negative and can result in the business losing money.
What is threat to national security
A threat to the security and safety of a nation state including its citizens, economies and institutions.
