How to rig Casualty Power
Connect horizontal cables Load to Source starting with the riser or bulkhead terminal at the casualty and then towards the switchboard riser where the power will be supplied
Safety Considerations of Casualty Power
All NSTM 300 electrical safety requirements apply
Proper PPE
Careful coordination and communications with Engineering Control, Damage Control Central, and local repair parties is essential
All personnel participating in casualty power operations must be trained and qualified
Ensure equipment is properly de-energized before attempting repairs, connections or disconnection from either the regular electrical distribution system or from casualty power
