Three Resolutions
Led by radicals such as Pym, 2nd March 1629 - Pment stopped from closing + 3 resolutions shouted - deeming anyone who brings Arminianism into the CofE, advises C to collect Tonnage + Poundage or paid Tonnage + poundage to be a ‘capital enermy’
Directly criticising C - seen as an attack on his prerogative rights
Reasons for closing each Pment pre-PR (3)
1) 1625 - after two months, to save Buckingham from threats on impeachment
2) 1626 - Same reason (better grounds w/ cadiz) + lack of money for the war
3) 1628 (-29) - C angry abt Buckingham + 3 Resolutions
