CBC (+ H/H) Blood type + Rh Antibody screen Rubella titer HBsAg HIV Syphilis (VDRL or RPR) Urine culture Urine chlamydia and gonorrhea
What ongoing assessments should occur at each prenatal visit?
- BP
- Weight

What is a GTT and why and when is it ordered in pregnancy?
Glucose Tolerance Test is done at 24-28 weeks. First one is a 50-gram 1 hour test. If over 135 (or 140), they fail and go to next test. 75-gram 3 hour GTT test is next. The 2 abnormals are needed for a diagnosis of gestational DM. So 1-hour is first. Failure leads to 3-hour GTT.
Which women should be screened for TSH?
Women with a hx of thyroid abnormalities.
Which women should be screened for Hep C?
Women with a hx of blood transfusion before 1992 or any injected drug use.
