Folic acid – 600 mcg daily prior to and during

◦ Deficiency can cause neural tube problems, cleft lip and
palate
◦ Increased amounts if prior neural tube defect – 4 mg daily
Fish for the pregnant women?
Methymercury is harmful to the fetal neurodevelopment with mild intellectual, motor, and psychosocial development
