4 steps of digestion
Ingestion, Digestion, Absorption and Elimination
Role of digestive system
Breaks down foods into manageable pieces so cells can absorb and utilize for survival.
Chemical Digestion
Using enzymes and stomach acid produces smaller molecules
Physical Digestion
physical breakdown food into smaller pieces through chewing and muscle contractions.
