An attitudinal variable reflecting how people feel about various aspects of their jobs & their jobs on the whole
Two Approaches
Global - Job satisfaction is treated as a singular feeling towards the job, overall satisfaction
Facet - Job satisfaction is considered in facets e.g. pay, coworkers, job conditions etc.
Facet does not add up to global
