The Working Time Regulations govern the hours most workers can work and set: limits on an average working week.

What is annual leave?
Annual leave is paid time off work granted by employers To employees to be used for whatever the employee wishes.
How much is an annual leave for an average person?
5.6 weeks paid holiday a year
what amount of time off work for an illness considered long term?
Employees who are off work sick for more than 4 weeks may be considered long-term sick. A long-term sick employee is still entitled to annual leave.
What must an employee do in regards to sickness, absence and reporting?
they need to contact their employer and let them know. they need to give their employer a fit note (sick note) if they will be off for 7 consecutive days or longer.
