What is the food safety act?
It is the statutory obligation to treat food intended for human consumption in a controlled and managed way.
When customers buy food what are they entitled to know?
They are entitled to know what is in the food, the food being sold mustn’t be misleading or false.
Name the different ways food must be fit for
consumption.
Do not: add anything to the food, use any ingredient in the preparation of the food,taking any part of the food subjecting the food to any other process or treatment, that would make it unfit for consumption.

there are 5 different chopping boards.
White - Bread Yellow- Cooked meat Red- Raw meat Green- Fruit, vegetables and salad Blue- Fish
What is food hygiene training and what does it include?
Trained in food hygiene which includes handling, transporting, packaging and the presentation of food.
Why do employers and employees need to have food hygiene training?
To make sure that cumstomers aren’t misold anything and are kept safe from any harm or illness.
How should meat be stored (raw and cooked)?
Raw and cooked meat shouldn’t be stored together and uncooked meat should be kept in packaging below any produce so that the meat doesn’t drip on the produce.
