.Less useful for teaching high organisation and complex skills which are difficult to explain
.Could be confusing for a beginner if it uses complicated language
What are the advantages of visual guidance?
.Works well for beginners - they can copy the skill
.Can be used to teach low organisation skills - each part of the skill can be shown step by step
What are the disadvantages of visual guidance?
.Less useful for teaching complex and high organisation skills - they’re more complicated and difficult to copy
What are the advantages of manual guidance?
.You can get the feel of a skill before doing it on your own
.Works well to teach people of all skill levels
What are the disadvantages of manual guidance?
.A performer could start to rely on it and not be able to perform a skill without it
.Difficult to use with big groups of learners

.Useful for teaching beginners - they can feel safe while practicing a new skill that might normally be dangerous
