53 Fuselage Flashcards
What are the main materials the B300 is made from?
2024-T3 and 6061-T6 (Tail cone)
If there is damage to the pressurised structure what material must you refer to?
Structural inspection and repair manual SIRM or the Repair design office.
What means are there for reducing vibration and sound in the crew an cabin?
Dynamic vibration absorbers. any indication of movement requires retuning the absorber.
What frequency are the dyamic vibration absorbers tuned to?
101.30 Hz Determined by the specific propeller speed at which a vibration or noise exists.
Where are the TUNED VIBRATION ABSORBERS TVA’S installed?
Below the cabin and cockpit windows on each side of the fuselage. attached via a 2 part epoxy.
Skin dampening panels are installed where?
On the majority of the fuselage skins internally, they are attached by a pressure sensitive adhesive.
How are the cockpit seat tracks attached?
18 screws into nutplates on the seat track support structure.
What are the cabin rail systems used for?
Support internal furnishings.
What sound dampening is installed in the wheel wells.
Pressure sensitive damping panels and sound deadener a asphalt emulsion corrosion preventative compound.
The static moment of the elevator is determined by
multiplying the
unbalanced weight of the elevator assembly times the perpendicular
distance from the hinge centerline to the center of gravity when the chord
line is horizontally level
