A

London’s site is one the flat floodplain of the river Thames where it meets over the sea. London’s situation is good as it is within europe which means trading overseas is easier. London’s population keeps on growing which means London’s economy will grow as of more people working. London connectivity nationally is good because it has fast uk rain services which means London and other major cities are connected better. London has the world’s second biggest international airport in Heathrow meaning people in other major cities can get to London quicker

A

London is significant nationally because a lot of UK’s economy comes from London. It is also regionally important because a lot of trade happens in London within europe. Globally London is very significant because 40% of the world’s foreign equities are traded there

The CBD has a function which is for banks to operate. The building age variation is the oldest of the city. The building density is usually tall buildings. Land use is for offices and The environmental quality is the worst as of the amount of traffic there is

Younger migrants move to London which means the population will increase a lot there. The young people move for better work opportunities and better living. 10% of the population is from the carribeans. Birth rate is increasing therefore the population will increase

Many of the migrants are aged 18-25 . This increases the age population for this group massively. Immigrants take up 13% of the country which affects London a lot. Migrants are taking a lot of housing therefore more houses will need to be built which will cost a lot of money

The suburbs have seen economic and population growth because there are more modernised housing and more shops. This is very good for a lot of people therefore they would want live there which will increase the population

A

Gentrification has caused growth because of wealthier people move in to run down areas and regenerate their houses. New businesses are springing up in gentrified areas to cater for the wealthier newcomers. Students help growth because it will increase thriving services and entertainment venues, generating new jobs and wealth for the area

A

There has been more investment which means transport has been improved massively. The olympics has made the area grow as it has provided a lot of people with jobs
