Alleles are The different forms of a gene. Offspring have two alleles for every trait. They can be dominant (Capital letter) or recessive (lower case letter) example: Purple (P) flowers vs. White (p) flowers

Phenotype (physical)
Phenotype is how that characteristic looks in an organism. (Physical looks or characteristics)
Example: Purple or white

A

Shows the combination of the alleles
Example: PP or pp-Homozygous (both alleles the same) [true-breeding]
Pp-Heterozygous (each allele is different)
