Q

Networking diagram

A

Good for scheduling

AOA — activity on Arrow (disregard) not practical use
AON—– Activity on Node

Draw an elemental task

Path—A sequence of activities connecting from one node to another

Critical path—longest path that connect start to finish task of the project.
Measure the lenght, each path has a duration..(days or weeks).

The lenght of the project is the same as the lengh of critical path.
the minimun duration to complete the project is the lenght of critical path

Q

how to complete a network diagram

A

Forward pass
By completing the forward pass
Determine the duration of the project

Another way to find the critical path is to follow the path where the tasks have 0 slack

A task with slack 0 is critical

Backward pass

If we have a tie

  • Forward the biggest number
  • Backward the smallest number
