Reason? to get to manageable. excesive cost is when breaking down in detail

Project breakdown in different task ( unique)

Boxes represent work not position or people

Task end of the branch.. Those are called elemental task… they are needed to be performed

To estimate the total cost of the project, estimate the cost of elemental task.
Bottom up rolling model to stimate cost

Summary tasks .. sumarize to elemental tasks in a upper level task

1. Can I estimate duration?

  1. Can I estimate resources? how much cost are we estimating(skills, equipment, materials etc) put it into dollars
  2. Can I find a task leader ?
    someone and its team. If someone cant no be
    assigned. It is necessary to breakdown
  3. Can I monitor and control progress
    How much is remaining
    How far are we going to the task

If every single question is a YES, that means that we dont have to breakdown anymore
