Pressure to conform or obey

What does having an ally give us?
A
Confidence and support making it possible to resist the pressures to conform or obey and remain independent in our behaviour.

How does someone resist conformity?
A
Person must identify with the ally and see them as a role model of independent behaviour, supported ppl no longer fear being ridiculed(they avoid NSI)

A
Ally acts as a model of dissent for the person to copy, making the person act for themselves and resit obedience.
