What is preventative maintenance?
It’s preventive or scheduled maintenance performed to preserve the gear and ensure the longevity of it
What are the 2 types of maintenance performed by 7011’s?
O&I
Organization–usually PMs
Intermediate–usually involves correcting discrepancies or removing and replacing parts
What a special requirements
Scheduled to be performed on a particular day or after a cumulative number of operating hours or starts
What is a preservation requirement
They provide short term preservations, procedures, maintenance while preserved and de-preservation procedures
What is a conditional requirement
Presented when detailed requirements do not exist in an appropriate technical manual
(ex. REIs)
