46- Chlamydia Flashcards
What is the lift cycle of chlamydia?
• Life cycle includes going into a cell via ingestion, organizing itself into reticular bodies, then more growth, then reorganized into elementary bodies, then massive exodus of cells.
Why is chlamydia obligate intracellular parasites?
• They require host cell ATP to grow, making them energy parasites (will not grow without host ATP).
