4 - Team Leading and Supervision Responsibilities

The ability to explain and/or demonstrate what Supervision responsibilities an Authorized Technician have during activities on a WTG.

Answer 1

Personal or immediate supervision is a responsibility of the AT. The decision on immediate or personal supervision should be decided depending on the competence and understanding of the task of the technician or if instructed or specified in the AWP.

- The AT will be within the working environment supervising his/her team

The ability to explain and/or demonstrate what General Safety is and the AT’s role when establishing and maintaining General Safety.

Answer 2

General Safety as defined in the WTSR:
The provision of safe access to and from the place of work, a safe place of work, safe methods of work and the use of correct work equipment and personal protective equipment

AT’s role in establishing/maintaining
- Assessment of the safety of the surroundings, from the CTV, transfer to WTG, TP, unusual sounds/smells/sights in the WTG, slips/trips/hazards, fire extinguishers/first aid kits to the weather.

Who is responsible for general safety?
- General safety to be established and maintained by the AT, but all persons working in the team have the duty to maintain general safety.

Question 3

The ability to identify what documents the AT must carry/bring to the WTG for typical daily task.
