LCO 3.8.1 title
AC Sources - Operating
LCO 3.8.1 requirement
The following AC electrical sources shall be operable:
- 2 qualified circuits between the offsite transmission network and the onsite Class 1E AC Electrical Power Distribution System
- 2 EDGs, each capable of supplying 1 train of the onsite Class 1E AC Electrical Power Distribution System
LCO 3.8.1 applicability
Modes 1-4
LCO 3.8.1 required actions < 1 hour
- 1 offsite circuit inoperable, then perform offsite source checks for the operable offsite circuit w/in 1 hour
- 1 EDG inoperable, then perform offsite source checks w/in 1 hour
- 3 or more AC sources inoperable, then enter LCO 3.0.3 immediately
LCO 3.8.2 title
AC Sources - Shutdown
LCO 3.8.2 requirement
The following AC electrical sources shall be operable:
- 1 qualified circuits between the offsite transmission network and the onsite Class 1E AC Electrical Power Distribution System
- 1 EDGs, each capable of supplying 1 train of the onsite Class 1E AC Electrical Power Distribution System
LCO 3.8.2 applicability
- Modes 5 and 6
- During movement of irradiated fuel assemblies
LCO 3.8.2 required actions < 1 hour
- The required offsite circuit inoperable, then declare affected required feature(s) with no offsite power available inoperable OR suspend core alterations and movement of irradiated fuel assemblies, initiate action to suspend operations involving positive reactivity additions, AND initiate action to restore required offsite power circuit to operable immediately
- The required EDG inoperable, then suspend core alterations and movement of irradiated fuel assemblies, initiate action to suspend operations involving positive reactivity additions, AND initiate action to restore required EDG to operable
LCO 3.8.3 title
Diesel Fuel, Lube Oil, and Starting Air
LCO 3.8.3 requirement
- For each EDG, the stored fuel oil, lube oil, and starting air subsystem shall be w/in limits, and both diesel fuel oil transfer systems shall be operable
- Separate Condition entry is allowed for each EDG
LCO 3.8.3 applicability
When associated EDG is required to be operable
LCO 3.8.3 required actions < 1 hour
Required action and associated completion time not met OR stored fuel oil, lube oil, or starting air subsystem not w/in limits for reasons other than fuel oil or lube oil inventory < 7 day supply and > 6 day supply, or fuel oil properties not w/in limit, then declare associated EDG(s) inoperable immediately
LCO 3.8.4 title
DC Sources - Operating
LCO 3.8.4 requirement
The Left Train and Right Train DC electrical power sources shall be operable
LCO 3.8.4 applicability
Modes 1-4
LCO 3.8.4 required actions < 1 hour

LCO 3.8.5 title
DC Sources - Shutdown
LCO 3.8.5 requirement
DC electrical power source(s) shall be operable to support the DC electrical power distribution subsystem(s) required by LCO 3.8.10 “Distribution Systems - Shutdown”
LCO 3.8.5 applicability
- Modes 5 and 6
- During movement of irradiated fuel assemblies
LCO 3.8.5 required actions < 1 hour
1 or more required DC electrical power sources inoperable, then declare affected required feature(s) inoperable OR suspend core alterations, suspend movement of irradiated fuel assemblies, initiate action to suspend operations involving positive reactivity additions, AND initiate action to restore required DC electrical power source(s) to operable status
LCO 3.8.6 title
Battery Cell Parameters
LCO 3.8.6 requirement
- Battery cell parameters for the Left Train and Right Train batteries shall be w/in limits
- Separate Condition entry is allowed for each battery
LCO 3.8.6 applicability
When associated DC electrical power source(s) are required to be operable
LCO 3.8.6 required actions < 1 hour
- 1 or more batteries with 1 or more cell parameters not w/in Category A or B limits, then verify pilot cells electrolyte level and float voltage meet Table 3.8.6-1 Category C limits w/in 1 hour
- Required action and completion time not met from condition above, 1 or more batteries w/average electrolyte temperature of the representative cells < 70 F, OR 1 or more batteries with 1 or more battery cell parameters not w/in Category C limits, then declare associated battery inoperable immediately
LCO 3.8.7 title
Inverters - Operating
LCO 3.8.7 requirement
4 inverters shall be operable
LCO 3.8.7 applicability
Modes 1-4
LCO 3.8.7 required actions < 1 hour

LCO 3.8.8 title
Inverters - Shutdown
LCO 3.8.8 requirement
Inverter(s) shall be operable to support the onsite Class 1E Preferred AC bus electrical power distribution subsystem(s) required by LCO 3.8.10 “Distribution Systems - Shutdown”
LCO 3.8.8 applicability
- Modes 5 and 6
- During movement of irradiated fuel assemblies
LCO 3.8.8 required actions < 1 hour
1 or more required inverters inoperable, then declare affected required feature(s) inoperable OR suspend core alterations, suspend movement of irradiated fuel assemblies, initiate action to suspend operations involving positive reactivity additions, AND initiate action to restore required inverters to operable immediately
LCO 3.8.9 title
Distribution Systems - Operating
LCO 3.8.9 requirement
Left Train and Right Train AC, DC, and Preferred AC bus electrical power distribution subsystems shall be operable
LCO 3.8.9 applicability
Modes 1-4
LCO 3.8.9 required actions < 1 hour
2 or more inoperable distribution subsystems that result in a loss of function, then enter LCO 3.0.3 immediately
LCO 3.8.10 title
Distribution Systems - Shutdown
LCO 3.8.10 requirement
The necessary portion of AC, DC, and Preferred AC bus electrical power distribution subsystems shall be operable to support equipment required to be operable
LCO 3.8.10 applicability
- Modes 5 and 6
- During movement of irradiated fuel assemblies
LCO 3.8.10 required actions < 1 hour
1 or more required AC, DC, or Preferred AC bus electrical power distribution subsystems inoperable, then declare associated supported required feature(s) inoperable OR suspend core alterations, suspend movement of irradiated fuel assemblies, initiate action to suspend operations involving positive reactivity additions, initiate actions to restore required AC, DC, and Preferred AC bus electrical power distribution subsystems to operable, AND declare associated required shutdown cooling train inoperable and not in operation immediately
