Types of industry
Manufacturing: produces goods that are physically used by consumers
Processing: turns raw materials into other materials used in manufacturing
Assembly: using materials and a design scheme to put together a finished product
Hi-Tech: specialised industries that mostly do research but often have small sections dedicated to each of the 3 normal types of industry

Space to expand
Availability of power and water
Climate, (benefit from sunny climate indirect benefits include lower heating bills and just a more favourable quality of life

Near a Good Transport network
Transportation costs
Government policies
Rent
Competitors
