Q

When does IP adjust his Delayed CB size?

A

When an offsuit A turns, IP can B100. IP’s range turns the nuts often enough, relative to OOP’s range, to support this size.

This is true even if IP checks the flop because IP will more often check back AA without backup than OOP.

This doesn’t apply for offsuit K or Q because OOP is flatting tons of KK and QQ.

Q

When does OOP adjust his raise size vs a Delayed CB?

A

OOP raises smaller when strong combos have been added to IP’s range on the turn, such as: 1) when top pair pairs or 2) when a frequently occurring overfull arrives

Q

What is IP’s strategy when constructing a Delayed CB?

A

Bet the best and worst hands/bluffs.

Check middle hands.

Make sure to bet enough air on the turn initially! The best can continue against a raise, and the worst lose less when bet/folding.

Q

What is IP’s response to OOP raising the Delayed CB?

A

Call without backup, fold without it.

IP will be facing a lot of river aggression from his opponent, and he has so many bluff catchers that his strongest hands accrue more EV by calling than they would 3 betting.
