What are permanent magnets?

A

Magnets that produce their own magnetic field all the time

What are induced magnets?

A
  • Induced magnets are magnetic materials that turn into a magnet when they’re put into a magnetic field.
  • When you take away the magnetic field, induced magnets quickly return to normal and stop producing a magnetic field (they lose their magnetisation)
