Social integration, rehabilitate prisoners, look after prisoners w humility

Protection of the public from dangers offenders.
Reparation- paying back to society cos of freedom loss
Serving public-> imprisoning offenders

Depends on the security risk. Category A- โฌ๏ธ risk, category D= low security

Offenders can change appreciate rights of victims, dignity + value of offenders

Prioritise well being of offenders, work with other agencies ( prison, courts)

Work with prisons to end Friday release, provide education, housing, health+ well being services

Equality to everyone, judicial independence- judges should be independant from sources ie media in decisions, โ showing favour to sides (impartiality), integrity

Role of judiciary= interpret+ apply the law to cases in court

Judges deal with serious/ all offences except for minor offences.
