Who is eligible to receive CFR-D differential?

CFR-D certified personnel who are working in an Engine, Rescue, or Squad Company on-line for CFR-D responses shall be eligible to receive the differential.

CFR-D certified personnel working in Ladder or Marine Companies will be eligible for CFR-D differential in the following instances:

When performing CFR-D medical procedures inclusive of all emergency care that requires CFR-D training such as :
♦ Operation of defibrillation equipment
♦ Administration of CPR
♦ Stabilization of a patients spine/neck
♦ Performance of a patient assessment or a head to toe survey

Do CFR-D certified personnel receive the differential past their scheduled tour if they perform such duties past the hour (late run)?

CFR-D certified personnel who meet the eligibility requirements shall be entitled to the differential only for the scheduled tour and not beyond.

Question 4

If CFR-D certified personnel are placed on medical leave prior to the end of their tour do they receive the differential for the whole tour?

If CFR-D certified personnel are placed on medical leave prior to the end of their tour, they shall receive the differential only for the amount of time on duty prior to being granted medical leave.

What does the Department have the right to do in order to bring a Engine Company on-line for CFR-D responses?

The Department shall have the right to detail any CFR-D certified Firefighter into an Engine Company in order to bring that company on line for CFR-D responses.
