Name 2 nerves in the spine and trunk region:
Axillary nerve
Sciatic nerve
How is the sural nerve composed?
The medial sural cutaneous nerve (a terminal branch from the tibial nerve) joins with the lateral sural cutaneous nerve (a terminal branch from the common fibular nerve) to form the sural nerve in the distal third of the calf.
What is another name for the deep peroneal nerve?
The deep fibular nerve
How is the deep peroneal nerve composed?
One of two terminal branches of the common fibular (peroneal) nerve, the other being the superficial fibular (peroneal) nerve.
Where is the deep peroneal nerve located?
The anterior compartment of the leg
Where is the superficial peroneal nerve located?
Below the head of the fibula, and in the proximal part of the fibularis longus muscle.
What is the saphenous nerve?
A continuation of the femoral nerve (part of the lumbar plexus) extending into the length of the lower extremity.
What are the medial and lateral plantar nerves?
The medial and lateral plantar nerves are branched from the tibial nerve and move to the tip of the toes.
What is the tibial nerve?
One of the two terminal branches of the sciatic nerve
What is the common peroneal nerve?
One of the two terminal branches of the sciatic nerve
