29 hydraulic power a321 Flashcards
what are the three hydraulic power (sub)systems on a321
green -> left engine (1)
yellow -> right engine (2)
blue -> center
what are the main power users of hydraulic power
- landing gear
- flight controls
- brakes
- CSM/G (electrical power backup)
- cargo doors
- thrust reversers
what is the lp of the system
3.5 bar
what is the hp of the system
200 bar
what is the main system pump of each of the three systems
green - edp 1
yellow - edp 2
blue - electric driven pump
what are the auxillary pumps for each system
green - PTU
yellow- electrical pump, hand pump, PTU
blue - RAT
how are each of the pumps powered on ground
green - ground electricity, yellow electrical pump, PTU
yellow - ground electricity, yellow electric pump
blue- ground electricity, blue electrical pump.
OR (for maintenance)
ground hydraulic supply (via connection pieces
what are some components on each system
green;
- nosewheel steering
- landing gear
- braking
- reverser 1
yellow:
cargo door
-alternate braking
-reverser 2
blue:
- CSM/G (w rat)
all:
spoiler
rudder
what is the volume levels of the hydraulic fluid? order?
green 100L
yellow 75L
blue 60L
what safety precautions exist
- hydraulic fluid cant mix
- systems kept separate originally to reduce effect of failure
- systems not used in flight are isolated during flight
where are each of the main system components of each subsystem located? ie where are the hydraulic compartments?
green: in main landing gear compartment
yellow: in right belly fairing
blue: in left belly fairing.
a belly fairing is aft of the main gear
how many hydraulic ground service panels are there
3 -> one for each subsystem
how are the reservoirs pressurized? in failure? ground?
normal: pneumatic system from the HP compressor of the left engine.
failure: LP compressors of the L and R engines and APU
ground: ground pressure supply
