27 flight controls a321 Flashcards
how are roll adn pitch controlled?
electrically (based on ELAC - elevation and aileron computers and SEC)
how is basic yaw controlled?
hyromechanically
rudder in mechanical mode from pedals or electrically from autoflight
three servo mcontrolers mechanically from pedals
trim actuator and yaw damper are controlled by FAC (flight augmentation computer)
rudder deflectino angle limited by airspeed
how is pitch controlled?
elevators electrohydraulicly (two servomotors per elevator)
- servomotors automatically switched to nertral if control lost
- angle of attack and load factor protection
trimmable horizontal stabilizers controlled by mechanically controlled hydraulic moter
what are spoiler functions?
roll spoilers
speed brakes
ground spoilers
what is included in the EFCS (electrical flight control system)
ELAC - 2 (elevator and aileron computer)
flight control and data concentrators (FCDC) - 4
SEC - 3
vertical accelerometers - 4
how many slats and flaps, locations?
slats - LE - 10
flaps - TE - 4
how is roll controlled?
tip ailerons and roll spoilers
side stick controls roll rate or autopilot does
two hydraulically powered servo controls on each aileron controlled by ELAC
how are flaps moved
hydraulics and mechanical transmission via PCY
how are slats fitted?
on circular arc tracks
