2.6 Managing Change Flashcards
Key tenets of Kotter Leading Change Model
Large-scale change is complex
The principal challenge in each stage is changing behavior.
The leader must demonstrate passion, get past facts and figures, and help the team “ feel” the need to change.
Both thinking and feeling are essential parts of leading and managing change.
Change is less about analysis that influences thinking, and more about assisting individuals to see facts that influence their feelings.
The dynamic of see-feel-change is a more powerful impetus for change than the traditional analysis-think change approach.
