A prefix is a group of words at the beginning of a word . When we add these letters to a base word we change the meaning of the word. For example: hemi+sphere = hemisphere, pre+view= preview.

What are sufixes and how do you use them/what are they for?

Answer 2

A suffix is a group of letters at the end of a word that change the meaning of the word. For example: care+free= carefree, time+ing= timing, happy+ness= happiness.

Sometimes we have to change the letters in the words. For example busy+ly=busily.
