What is interference?
Forgetting because one memory blocks another, one or both of the memories become distorted or forgotten
What memory is interference concerned with?
Long term memory

We cannot access the information even though it is available

What is proactive interference?
Forgetting occurs when older memories - already stored - disrupts the recall of newer memories

Why does similarity have an effect on forgetting?
