2.4 / 2.8 Design processes Flashcards
What is a design process?
Is a system that organises how a prototype or a product is developed and there are several design models that can be used but all start with the identification of a design problem
What would a design brief include? After discovering the deign problem
Investigation and analysis. What are the best methods to do so?
One of the best methods to do so would be by using primary research of products and information that can be gathered based on products similar to theirs.
It can be used to identify any weaknesses and potential areas for improvement
Following the design brief a specification is made what would it include?
Generating ideas, developing and planning, the production of prototypes and evaluation and testing.
In the commercial enviournment the process may be continued further using the results of testing and evaluation which is knows as cyclic/iterative design (ik its about rotation but that’s what the book says)
