Disadvantages:
- Less committed
- Communication issue
- Not trained
Benefits and drawbacks of full-time
Advantages:
- More work hours means that can do more tasks
- Employee knows on how the business works
- Security needs met
- Higher pay means more committed
Disadvantages:
- Work hours are not flexible with personal needs
- Expect pay when not doing work (e.g. holiday, sickness and maternity)

- motivation
- productivity as reduced mistakes so less waste, lowers cost as well then

Induction training: intro for worker for them to find out how things work
Advantages:
- Good first impressions = motivation
- Worker feels comfortable
Disadvantages:
- Expensive - wage paid with no work

On-the-job training: Person watches an expert in the company do the job
Advantages:
- Specific to the job
- Cost effective
- Easy to organise
- Producing while training
Disadvantages:
- Trainer must have right skills
- May pickup bad habits
- No new ideas
- Slows work for trainer
Off the job training, define, pros and cons
Off the job training: training away from workspace by specialists
Advantages:
- Specialised
- No distractions
- Learn latest techniques
Disadvantages:
- Not specific
- Expensive
- Employee not making output for company
When would downsizing be necessary?

Contract of employment: Have to give written contract to employer with all the things that they can and can not do
Advantages:
- Clears misunderstandings
- Allows to take legal action for business or employee
Disadvantages:
- Less flexibility
Unfair dismissal law, define, pros and cons
Unfair dismissal law: Ensures that workers are being treated fairly and they do not lose their job for no reason
Advantages:
- Protects workers right
Disadvantages:
- hard to fire underperforming workers
