How was New Jersey created?

A

King James split the territory of New Jersey in two as he believed ot was too big. He gave one man the west and another the east. Eventually, these men sold their interests to a group of quakers.l land titles in the jerseys changed hands often and inaccurate property lines added to the confusion. so the crown decided to settle matters by combining the two jerseys into a single royal colony, called new jersey.
