-Election of president/ executive independently

What are features of Presidential Democracy?
A
- Divided party control
- ->Republican Congress with a democratic President
- More difficult to pass laws
- Transparency in government
- ->Ability to see what government is doing.
- Individuals are more represented
- Winner takes all

What are features of Parliamentary Democracy?
A
- Has a coalition of common party that control system of government
- For that reason it is easier to pass laws, less opposition because group with the same beliefs
- proportional representation

What is Parliamentary Democracy?
A
- Prime minister/executive is selected by parliament
- The populous indirectly vote, they vote for parliament

What is proportional representation?
A
- Used by most Parliamentary democracy
- Votes are for parties rather than people
- percentage of vote is equal to the percentage represented in parliament

What is a “Winner-Take All”?
A
- Majority of votes wins office
- 2nd means nothing
