What is a raised beach?
A
Beach which has been raised above sea level by isostatic rebound or eustatic sea level change
- can show progression of plate uplift
- usually have larger sediment left, smaller taken away by marine processes when at sea level

A
- ice pushes land down
- when ice melts, land rises

A
- mantle is soft + viscous
- results in other parts of crust reacting to isostatic changes
- seesaw effect
