York, Warwick, Salisbury and Edward return to England with 2,000 experienced soldiers.
Battle Lancastrians at Northampton, Yorkist’s win because Lord Grey (Lancastrian Front Line) changes sides.
HVI and Buckingham captured.
Shrewsbury, Egremont and Beaufort killed.
Margaret and Son escape to Wales.
1460-
Act Of Accord
York returns from Ireland again after Northampton.
Marches into Westminster and puts hand on throne, nobility shocked.
Becomes HVI heir few days later- Act of Accord.
1460-
Battle of Wakefield
Margaret furious at Act of Accord, gathers army to reclaim son’s inheritance.
York is killed and his eldest son Edward now the heir to the throne
