ὣς ἄρα φωνήσασα πάλιν τράπεθ᾽ υἷος ἑοῖο,

To give to my son famous all-shining armour.”
ὣς ἔφαθ᾽, αἳ δ᾽ ὑπὸ κῦμα θαλάσσης αὐτίκ᾽ ἔδυσαν:
So she spoke, and they dived at once under the wave of the sea:
ἣ δ᾽ αὖτ᾽ Οὔλυμπον δὲ θεὰ Θέτις ἀργυρόπεζα
But she the silver-footed goddess Thetis went to
Olympus
ἤϊεν ὄφρα φίλῳ παιδὶ κλυτὰ τεύχε᾽ ἐνείκαι.
So as to bring famous armour to her dear son.
