Equation for photosynthesis:
Carbon Dioxide + Water > Light > Glucose + Oxygen
Things you need to know for photosynthesis:
~ To reduce glucose molecules by photosynthesis, energy is required.
~ This is because the reactions ENDOTHERMIC (Take heat in).
~ The energy needed us supplied by sunlight.
~ It is trapped by the green chemical CHLOROPHYLL, which is found in chloroplasts.
Factors affecting Photosynthesis:
Temperature
Carbon dioxide concentration
Light intensity
Chlorophyll concentration
Converting Glucose:
Glucose provides energy for the plant.
It may be stored or changed into other things such as starch, fat, cellulose which strengthens the cell walls, proteins.
To produce proteins , the plant needs nitrate ions.
