- Mitochondria
- Ribosomes
What are the main features of a Plant Cell?
- Nucleus
- Cytoplasm
- Cell Membrane
- Mitochondria
- Ribosomes
- Cell Wall

What are Prokaryotes Cells?
These are bacterial cells.
These are much smaller in size.
They have one or more small rings of DNA called Plasmids.
They DON’T contain Mitochondria or Chloroplasts.
(nokaryotic) - good way to remember.
What are Eukaryotic Cells?
These are plant, animal and fungal cells.
What is a Bacterial Cell?
These are all prokaryotic cells.
Definition of a Nucleus
Controls the activities of the Cell and contains the genetic material.
Definition of a Cytoplasm
Most of the chemical reactions take place
Definition of a Cell membrane
Controls the passage of substances in and out of the Cell
Definition of a Mitochondria
Aerobic respiration takes place
Definition of Ribosomes
Proteins are made
Definition of a Cell Wall
Strengthens the cell
Definition of a Permanent Vacuole
Filled with cell sap which supports the plant
Definition of a Chloroplast
Absorbs light to make food by photosynthesis
