13 Hydraulic Flashcards
ACMP (AC Motor Pump) 1B and 2B will automatically start in the AUTO position under which conditions?
Respective bus is powered, associated (opposite) engine driven generator is operating and flaps are greater than 4 degrees.
Each accumulator is pre charged with?
1,500 psi nitrogen
System 1, 2 and 3 hydraulic reservoir capacity is?
1: 2.95 liters
2: 3.93 liters
3: 11.14 liters
To ensure priority to the flight controls, a valve cuts off pressure to the landing gear when pressure drops below?
2,100 psi (reopens at 2,300 psi)
ACMP (AC Motor Pump) 1B, 2B, 3A and 3B is powered by which bus?
- 1B: AC BUS 2
- 2B: AC BUS 1
- 3B: AC BUS 1/ADG BUS
- 3A: AC BUS 2
What do you lose if hyd system 1 is INOP?
Ground spoilers
What do you lose if system 2 is INOP?
MLG AUX ACT and outboard brakes
What do you lose if system 1 and 2 is INOP?
Flight and ground spoilers, MLG AUX ACT and outboard brakes
What do you lose if system 3 is INOP?
Inboard brakes, landing gear, nose wheel steering and nose door
What is nominal pressure, and when does the caution light come on?
3,000 psi and below 1,800 psi
Hydraulic system nominal psi
3000 psi
What is powered by the hydraulic system?
- primary & secondary flight controls
- landingg gear
- wheel brakes
- nosewheel steering
Name the hydraulic pumps and what drives them ?
- 1A: Engine driven
1B: AC Motor Pump (ACMP) (backup pump) - 2A: Engine driven
2B: ACMP (backup pump) - 3A: ACMP
3B: ACMP (backup pump)
With hyd pumps 1B and 2B in AUTO, when do they turn on?
- Flaps not at zero (+4 degrees)
- Opposite site engine driven generator is on-line
- BUS is powered (AC BUS 2 for 1B and vice versa))
With hydraulic pump 3B in AUTO, when does it turn on?
- Either engine driven gen on-line
- Flaps not at zero
With ADG deployed, what pump will turn ON regardless of switch position?
3B
