Q

Nominal rating of each generator? (kVA)

A

30 kVA to 35,000’ and 25 kVA to 41,000’

In the event of a single generator failure, the remaining generator is capable of supplying sufficient power for operation of the main systems.

Q

What BUSes are load shed during single GEN ops in flight and on the ground.

A

During single-generator operation in flight, AC UTILITY BUS 1 and 2 are automatically load shed to reduce the electrical load on the remaining generator.

During ground operations, AC utility buses 1 and 2 are load shed when a single generator (or external AC power only) is supplying AC power and the flaps are not retracted.

16
Q

When does the ADG automatically deploy?

A

• Both AC BUS 1 and AC BUS 2 become unpowered
• The aircraft is in flight

17
Q

What are the sources of DC power?

A

4 transformer-rectifier units (TRUs).
2 NiCad batteries. (Main and APU bat)
1 External DC power receptacle

  • supply direct current (DC) power to the DC buses.
18
Q

DC
With MAIN BUS TIE selected, what buses are shed?

A

Whenever the MAIN BUS TIE switch/light is selected following a TRU 1 or 2 failure, the DC UTIL buses are load shed to reduce the DC electrical load.

19
Q

ADG, when does it automatically deploy?

A
  • AC BUS 1 & 2 inop
  • AC in flight
20
Q

ADG limitations (wet and dry adg)

A

Wet ADG:
- 250 kias
- 215 kias (flight test or training)

Dry ADG:
- None
