Monsoon
Long prevailing winds change directions due to summer. The land gets hot causing hot air to rise, however water takes more energy to heat meaning air above the ocean is still cool. The void left over the land is filled with the cool air which then cools, clouds and condenses. Due to the excess of water vapour here there’s bare rainfall

Wettest place in the world but fat inaccessibility to water and due to excessive rainfall and overland flow the top soil has been wasted away

Orgraphic Rain
When air is lifted over a mountain range, it starts to cloud and then starts rainfall.
Step Wells
Act as water collection and a source for social gathering, it allows us to use groundwater storage which is then replenished by the monsoon.

The process by which water is transferred from the land to the atmosphere by evaporation from the soil and other surface and by transpiration
Water Budgets
Reflect the balance of precipitation vs evapotranspiration either from season to season in one place or between places.

Precipitation higher than evapotranspiration so soil moisture is in surplus.

Soil moisture deficit and evapotranspiration increases.

Precipitation Increases, Evapotranspiration decreases and soil moisture is recharged

Why’s The Cryosphere A Non-Renewable Reserve
1.9% of global water is in ice caps but this accounts for 68% of freshwater, this water is lost and moves into the ocean as a result of climate change, meaning it’s no longer fresh water.
