Q

What is crystalisation?

A

Getting pure salt: heat to evaportate water until the solution is at the point of crystalisation(when small crystals appear on the edge of the solution.

  • extract crystals
  • left of the saturated solution is left to evaporate at room temperature

(Sperates soluble from solvent)

Q

What is distillation do?

A

Allows you to collect the solvent(water).

Solution heated and boiled to evaporte solvent. Vapour enters a condenser after rising. This glass tube cools the vapour and condensed back into a liquid for collection. Any solids will remain at the start point
