Direct illumination vs indirect illumation on slit lamp
Direct means light directly on the structure you want to see. VS. Indirect means light bounces off another structure to a specific other structure then where the light hits
Retro illumination
Shine light through pupil to retina and red reflex back is retro
Does Ishihara color plates test for blue deficiency?
NO! It only tests red/green
Pachymetry
Corneal thickness
Thick cornea in IOP
Fasely high IOP
Thin cornea in IOP
Falsely low IOP
Thick corneas in CL overwear
Think edema/ fluid being trapped/ think haloes around lights and blurred vision
Average corneal thickness
