Descriptive Statistics
Consists of methods of collecting, organizing, summarizing, and presenting data in an informative way
Inferential Statistics
A body of methods used to draw conclusions, generalize, or infer about characteristics of a population based on sample data

Census

parameter
a numerical measurement describing a population

a group selected from the population, subset of the population to provide information used to infer information about populations

of a variable are the possible observations of the variable
